Hello, dear all!
I´ve been kind of "absent" here lately :-) These are days of hard work in the studio, and I´m so thankful for that and learning so much every minute. It seems that de holiday season is beggining to make my studio a messy place again. I´ve made some changes here to help "prevent" the mess and have more space and better organization. Now it seems so much bigger than before, and I also have better lighting in the sewing machine. I know that seing the picture above you may think I don´t know what mess means, but, please keep in mind that I´ve made the pic when it was just decluttered and with everything in the new position hehe! Now I´m living in a more real world, with pieces of thread, fabric and leather all around, even in my clothes AND hair :-) It does not sound nice, but this is a happy busy mess.
I´ve been working in this place for a year already, so I´m remembering so much these same days in the past holiday season. Things have changed! The new sewing machine makes a huge difference, I´ve learned so much, and my products have improved. Happy to see that, and thankful to all my customers from all times.
I´m also dreaming on some new lines for my shop. I want to do SO many things and my notebook is getting fat with ideas I´m writting to remember. Right now before Christmas is not the moment to do that, but I will love to grow a line of products inspired on the Andinean cultures taking advantage of my location in Chile. I´ll share a bit more about this when the moment comes.
Thanks for reading, and hope you have a nice day!
:-)

Andinean inspiration. Knits and tools from my weaving life long ago. I need to to that again!

New Two Tone Crossbody Bag in the shop, inspired in the colors of landscapes I love from the south of Argentina and Chile.

From our last vacation in Bariloche, Patagonia Argentina. Just for you to know what I mean saying that these colors are inspiring the bag above :-) So living that place and how Nature combines colors there!

some studio shots

Hello, dear all! Weather has been kind of crazy during the past week, as we had rainy really dark days and also some sunny bright ones when we almost believe we were in the middle of the spring intead of beggining the winter. My studio doesn´t seem the same place and changes so much depending on the light outside...in the pictures above you have some spots from my workspace, and what I see if I take a look outside de window.
Well, friends, hope you have a good start for this new week! See you soon :-)

a little up date

Hi Friends!! Happy Monday and new week! Hope you´ve had a great weekend. Last week has been pretty busy here, sewing and more sewing! I´m making new items for the shop that hope I´ll be listing soon, and also sewing some orders to be shipped. I have many new ideas for new bags... I would like to add some backpacks to the shop and also some smaller bags.
My sewing machine is behaving well, but is making some strange noises :( I think I´m forcing it a bit...too much work for a tiny machine...may be after Christmas I can invest in another one bigger and sturdier.
Here you can see a few snaps from work last week and a bit more just around here.
Have a nice week! xo!

Hi, there!!

Hi, Folks!
There´s been a while since my last post, we´d been pretty busy here!
I´ve made and listed some new bags in the shop, and there are some still waiting to be listed!
We´ve had four days of holiday last week here in Chile, so the week was really short with so much rush. I´ve also gone to a zone in the city where there are so many shops selling sewing supplies. They have everything you can imagine for sewing, and I´ve bought some new thread to try how it goes with the bags. It went so incredibly well! I´m wondering now how could I use something different before :-)
Here you have some pics from the studio last week, and also some from our weekend ride.
See you soon!!
XO

To my Spanish speaking friends: the blog and shop will be translated into Spanish soon, a little more of patience, please!! :-)
Para mis amigos hispano-parlantes: pronto traduciré el blog y la tienda al español! Un poquito mas de paciencia por favor! :) Gracias!

at the studio

Hi, Friends! During these days spring definitely arrived here to stay! We´re having such a nice weather, with chilly mornings and evenings, but the sun is really warm and you can be pretty hot at midday.
This past week we had visit from family until Thursday, and it has been great. Since then I´m in a real rush trying to reopen my Etsy shop....so many things to check and organise! I´m in some trouble for finding 100% cotton here, which I need for lining my bags. I know I´ll find it, just need to found the right place to go. I´ll also have to update the shipping prices because of my new location. But I want to reopen right now and start working again....my hands and mind are needing a big splash of sewing!
Here you can see a few spots from these past days....most of time working on the studio before the reopening, and our Sunday afternoon. Photos will be made with my iPad for a while... we´ve been stolen a few days ago and I´ve lost my camera!
Hope you have a great week! XO

from Madrid to Santiago de Chile

rearranging the studio

Today we make two years since we moved from Seville to Madrid, and we are setting up our home again but this time in Santiago de Chile! I´m really amazed about how time goes by and things happen so fast.
In these days I´m working hard to get everything ready to mid October and being able to reopen my Etsy shop again. I would like to reopen by October 15, when the shop will have a year since I opened it. Is always better fixing a date to make things happen....at least for me! If not I would spend the eternity to make it all the better way. Wise people say that taking care of each detail is not always the best way to do things!

just moved

our almost empty living room

my future studio....yes, the "desk" is the ironing table by the moment :)

Today we make two months since we left Spain, and we are allready in our new home in Chile. We have been literally "camping" for two weeks since we moved in here!
We are expecting our belongins to arrive tomorrow from Madrid,  and everything will get to normal with a bit more of time I guess (and hope!).

But before getting back to our normal working life, we are going on holidays next week! We will go in a short trip to the south of Chile and Argentina. It was our family holiday destination during my childhood, and I would love to show my hubby all those great places where I used to go!.
